@mindgarde12? Actually, they're not getting shut down. They just sold many of the assets in Canada, Egypt and Europe (I believe) to the tune of $700 billion to help clean this up. However, they're not gone, I'm afraid. They'll make this mess again and we'll suffer for it. This is why I support community economies over larger scale economies. Thanks for replying.

@carrielindom they get charged for every barrel that they clean up so they decided it was a good idea to spray corexit in with methane/benzene infested crude oil as so they could hide it. Its cheaper to spray toxic chemicals in the water then it is to clean up the oil. COST BENIFITS is all this company has obviously ever cared about. No blow out prevention? and a s**tty cheap rig is how they roll, they could give a f**k about eco friendly anything.
